1. Sponsor

2. Who can enter

Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older at the time of entry. Employees and contractors of KENAI, and their immediate families and households, are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. How to enter

Each calendar month is its own contest. Enter at kenaigundog.com’s entry page for Show the Work (my.kenaigundog.com/show-the-work) by submitting one photo of a dog, your name, your email address, and the dog’s name, and by agreeing to these rules and the photo license below. One entry per person per month. The first contest runs from October 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM Mountain Time through October 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time; entries received before October 1 count toward it. Each later contest runs from 12:00 AM Mountain Time on the first day of its month through 11:59 PM Mountain Time on its last day. KENAI’s computer is the official clock. Entries that are incomplete, late, or submitted by automated means are void; additional entries from the same person in the same month are void. Posting on Instagram or anywhere else is optional, is not an entry, and earns no additional entries or advantage.

4. The photo

You must have taken the photo, or have the permission of the person who did. The photo must be your own real image, not generated or altered to mislead. You confirm that every person who can be identified in the photo agreed to it being entered and shared, and that no identifiable person under 18 appears in it unless you are that person’s parent or legal guardian and agree on their behalf. KENAI may reject any entry that is unsafe, shows unsafe firearm handling, is cruel to an animal, is offensive, or infringes anyone’s rights.

5. Photo license

By entering, you give KENAI a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, crop, and publish your photo, with credit to you (and your Instagram handle if you give one), on KENAI’s public gallery of entries (“the wall”, which shows your first name or Instagram handle, the dog’s name and breed, and your story, never your email), on KENAI’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, in KENAI email, and on KENAI websites. KENAI reviews each photo before it appears on the wall and may decline or remove any photo. KENAI will not use your photo in paid advertising without asking you first. You keep the copyright.

6. Judging

This is a contest of skill, not a random drawing. KENAI and a guest judge pick the winner from all eligible entries on three equal criteria: the work (the dog doing the job), the moment, and the photo. Ties are broken by the higher score for the work. The Handlers’ Pick is chosen by an Instagram story poll among up to five finalists named by the judges; KENAI may disregard votes it reasonably believes come from fake or automated accounts. Judges’ decisions are final. Prizes are awarded in a month only if at least one eligible entry is received.

7. Prizes

Dog of the Month (one per month): a one-year KENAI Pro membership (approximate retail value $89.99) and THE POCKET, KENAI Drive Squares and Fuel Sticks (approximate retail value $41.98). Total approximate retail value $131.97. Handlers’ Pick (one per month): one bag of KENAI Drive Squares (approximate retail value $16.99). The KENAI Pro membership is delivered as a redemption code for the KENAI app and is subject to the app’s terms; if a winner cannot use it (for example, the app is not available on their phone), KENAI will substitute KENAI products of equal or greater retail value. Prizes ship to US addresses only, are not transferable, and have no cash value. KENAI may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a listed prize becomes unavailable. Winners are responsible for any taxes.

8. Winners

Winners are named on or about the first day of the following month on @kenaiperformance and contacted by email. A winner who does not reply within 14 days, or who is found ineligible, forfeits the prize, and an alternate may be chosen from the remaining finalists. By accepting, and where the law allows, the winner agrees KENAI may name them (first name or Instagram handle) and share their photo as described above without further payment. For the names of a month’s winners, email Hello@kenaigundog.com within 60 days after that month ends.

9. Privacy

10. Instagram and Facebook

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, or Meta. You release them from any liability connected with it.

11. Release

By entering, you release KENAI and its owners, employees, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from the contest, your entry, or a prize, except where the law does not allow such a release. You agree to indemnify KENAI against claims arising from a photo you submit that you did not have the right to submit.

12. General

KENAI may disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process or breaks these rules, and may change, suspend, or cancel a contest if fraud, a technical failure, or anything else beyond its control affects it, posting any change on this page. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah. If any part of these rules is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
