EditorialWikipedia (Spanish)

Single editorial source for the quarry; FCI names none. The legal status of hunting in Colombia is stated by Wikipedia EN citing the Bogota Post; it is a handler-relevant fact to verify locally.

Search pattern

Breed clubFederation Cynologique Internationale, 2026

Field trial standard

FCI 376 classification: Group 6, Section 1 scenthounds, 'without working trial'.

How common the problems are

Evaluated dogs skew toward breeding stock; the numbers are still the best there are.

Most common disorders

Wikipedia ES: no breed disease data given; the breed is called vulnerable because of lack of information and indiscriminate crossing with Beagle and Basset Hound, and because hunting has almost disappeared.

EditorialWikipedia (Spanish)

Single editorial source; this is a conservation statement, not a disorder list.

How to read this page

Every value carries a label. Measured means peer-reviewed data on many dogs. Studied means peer-reviewed, smaller or indirect. Breed club means a club or registry states it. Published when the entry rests on the best information available from no fewer than three independent sources, checked by a second pass that did not write it. 2 sources on this page. Found something wrong? Tell us and the correction is logged with its date.
