Privacy policy.

1. What GunDog keeps

Your account: the email you sign in with, your name or handle, and the sign-in itself, by email and password or through Apple or Google. Apple may give us a private relay address in place of your own.

Your dogs: their profiles and photos, health log, titles and test results, training sessions, hunts and the notes you type. If you run a kennel: the listing, inquiries, waitlist, contracts signed in the app and the ledger rows you enter.

Your location. While you run a session the app records your phone’s GPS track, including with the screen locked, so the distance and the route are real. When you open the app it reads your position for the weather and the map. A photo you take in the field keeps the spot it was taken.

Photos and videos you add, and, if you record your recall whistle for the emergency lost-dog beacon, that recording, so the app can play it back.

What you post in KENAI Nation, your kennel listing if you publish one, and a photo you enter in Show the Work on the web.

Which features you use, tied to your account (for example that a session was logged), so we can see what works. No advertising identifiers. If the app crashes, a crash report goes to Sentry without your name, email or location, and there is no screen or session recording in the app.

Your email preference, if you tick the box for the Field Notes or turn it on in Account. It is off by default.

2. Where it goes

Everything is saved to KENAI’s database, hosted by Supabase in the United States, where each record can be read only by your account, except what you choose to share:

A post in KENAI Nation is seen by other handlers in the app. A kennel listing you publish appears in the kennel directory in the app and at my.kenaigundog.com/kennels. A Show the Work photo is shown with your credit, the way the form says. A kennel inquiry sends your message and the email or phone you type to that kennel.

Photos you add are stored at a web address that anyone who has the link can open. The app only shows them where you put them.

Your tracks and spots are never shared unless you turn on sharing the place for a post. KENAI never sells your data and shows no ads.

3. Services GunDog uses

Supabase holds the database, the sign-in and the photo storage. Apple and Google handle sign-in with those accounts and the subscription payments; RevenueCat keeps the subscription record and receives an app user id and the purchase receipt.

Mapbox draws the maps and stores the offline packs you download, and may receive usage data about the map under its own privacy policy. Open-Meteo supplies the weather; the app asks it for the coordinates on your screen, not for who you are. Other map and conditions layers come from public sources such as state wildlife agencies.

KENAI Coach sends your question and your dog’s record in the app (recent sessions, hunts and the health log) to Anthropic, whose model writes the reply.

Sentry receives crash reports. Expo delivers app updates and, if you allow notifications, the push token that lets us send them. Klaviyo sends our email, and only receives your address if you give it.

4. Children

KENAI is for handlers 13 and older. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, write to Hello@kenaigundog.com and we will delete it.

5. Removing your data

Account, then Delete your account, erases your dogs, hunts, tracks, photos and titles and the account itself, in one step that cannot be undone. A kennel listing comes down with it.

Email can be stopped from any message we send, or in Account. To have us delete the account for you, or to ask what we hold, write to Hello@kenaigundog.com.
