Terms of use.

1. Who can use KENAI

You must be 13 or older. A younger handler can run a dog alongside a parent who uses the app.

2. You are the handler

KENAI is a tool. You are responsible for the dog, for knowing and following hunting regulations, seasons, land ownership and access rules, and for the decisions you make in the field.

The KENAI Index and the Read are built from public weather data. They are a read of conditions for working a dog, never a prediction of birds or a promise about the day. Maps, wind, scent, thermals, light, tide, freeze and water layers come from public sources and from models; they can be wrong or out of date.

KENAI Coach gives training guidance, never veterinary care. To answer, it sends your question and your dog’s record in the app (recent sessions, hunts and the health log) to Anthropic, the company whose model writes the reply. See a veterinarian for anything medical.

Emergency Mode shows your position and opens your phone’s own call or text with that position filled in. You place the call or send the text, and both need a signal. It is not a rescue device and it does not contact anyone on its own.

3. Location and tracks

While you run a session, the app records your phone’s GPS track, including with the screen locked and the phone in your pocket, so the distance and the route are real. The track is the handler’s, never the dog’s, and it belongs to you.

Outside a session the app uses your location to show the weather read and the map for where you are. Sharing where a hunt happened is off unless you turn it on for a post.

4. Your content

Your dogs, sessions, hunts, tracks, photos, notes, titles and kennel records are yours. You let us store them and show them to you, and to the people you choose to show them to, so the app can work.

What you post in KENAI Nation is visible to other handlers. A kennel listing you publish appears in the kennel directory. A photo you enter in Show the Work, or choose to put on the Wall, is shown with your credit, the way the form says.

Share only photos and words that are yours or that you have permission to share. Keep Nation about the dogs and the work. We remove posts that are abusive, false, or not yours to post, and the accounts that keep doing it. Any handler can report a post from its menu.

5. Kennel tools

The kennel tools (listings, inquiries, waitlists, contracts, the ledger) are records you and your buyers make. A contract signed in the app is between you and the buyer; KENAI is not a party to it and does not hold or move money. The ledger shows balances from the rows you entered, nothing more.

6. Copyright

If you believe something in KENAI uses your work without permission, send a notice to our copyright agent: Copyright Agent, KENAI Holdings LLC, 5183 W 13400 S, Unit 375, Riverton, UT 84096, Hello@kenaigundog.com, subject line Copyright notice. The full notice and counter-notice process is at my.kenaigundog.com/copyright. We remove the account of anyone who repeatedly shares work that is not theirs.

7. Paid features

Maps, weather, tracking, logging, your kennel listing and KENAI Nation are free. KENAI Pro is $9.99 a month or $89.99 a year. Kennel Pro is $49.99 a month or $449.99 a year. The price, the period and the renewal are shown next to the button before you pay.

Apple or Google Play handles the payment and the renewal. A subscription renews until you cancel it, and you manage or cancel it in your Apple ID or Google account settings, not in the app. Turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.

A code from a KENAI order unlocks 90 days of KENAI Pro, redeemed at my.kenaigundog.com/redeem or in the app on Android. Some early handler accounts carry KENAI Pro at no charge, and that stays.

8. Your account

One account works in the app and at my.kenaigundog.com. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You can delete your account from Account in the app; that erases your dogs, hunts, tracks, photos and titles and cannot be undone. You can also write to us and we will do it for you.

9. No warranty

KENAI is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, KENAI Holdings LLC is not liable for losses that come from using the app or relying on its reads, maps or data.

10. The law

These terms follow the laws of Utah, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Salt Lake County, Utah.
